Elaine truly is the dog whisperer! She turned our hyper puppy into a dog with amazing self control. We now enjoy our walks with him, and feel much more in control with him in general. Elaine is fantastic at teaching the humans too, and we now feel so confident. I can’t recommend Elaine and Carolina Dog Training more!! You won’t regret it.

We had our English Setter, Strega, attend Carolina Dog Training in 2023, and I wanted to share just how incredible the long-term impact of that training has been, three years later. We frequently visit the North Carolina mountains, and there is no greater joy than watching Strega run freely and safely, knowing we can confidently communicate with her. When we travel without her, we often leave Strega in the care of my parents. Their house backs up to a lot of land that we only ever dreamed Strega could run in. Now that she is trained, we feel 100% confident leaving her with them. She is able to run off-leash in the woods with no fear on our end. It has taken away so much of the pressure and anxiety we once felt. I was especially nervous for Strega to go into training because she is a bird

We adopted a 80lb young rescue who is sweet but had no manners, was dog reactive and had a strong prey instinct. After her 2 week board and train with Elaine she is now well behaved and we enjoy taking her out to parks and around town. Her recall when off leash amazes us! We really liked that she brings your dog into her home and they also learn how to interact within a dog pack. Elaine is very professional and knowledgeable, spent quality time educating us and is available for any follow up questions. She really cares about your dog and has a passion for helping your dog be the best family member possible!

I had a wonderful experience with Elaine and my newly adopted border collie Belle. After exactly two weeks, Belle walks on my heel with an automatic stop and comes to me when I call her whether indoors or out. We learned how to sit and wait off the leash as well as stay in “place” when instructed to do so. I learned how to approach other issues I had with her such as jumping up on the door when someone arrives. Belle shows immense joy when I praise her for obeying my commands! I could not be happier with my experience and with Elaine. She really knows her stuff! I highly recommend and so does Belle!

We are 3 hours from Elaine and I would have driven 7 hours for her. We had taken our 2 yr old Golden Retriever, Georgia, to a different program before Elaine with disappointing results. We are 1 month post training with Elaine and are thrilled with how well Georgia listens and how she seems more relaxed. Georgia’s recall when off leash is amazing, I hike with her in the mountains off leash and she listens so well and constantly “checks” in with me. Walking her on the street and her being in a “heel” position makes our walks more enjoyable. We love that Georgia was in Elaines home during training, with only 1 other dog, was well loved and taken care of during her 2 week training.
