Carnegie Hill Veterinarians

A neighbor recommended Carnegie Hill Vet to me when my 2 year old yorkie had a bit of an inflamed paw. Originally, I was booked for a day after I called but then they called back a short time later to get me in the same day! The office was clean and the staff was super friendly. Dr. Facison was extremely thorough and price conscious! Making sure I was okay with any charges, gave me options for heartworm/flea options that best fit my budget, she kindly educated me on things I didn’t even know as a 15 year dog owner! It was an overall great experience and they handled my very sensitive yorkie with such care and got his inflamed paw taken care of in a cost efficient way. They are also very easy to communicate with via text message! I am glad I found a permanent vet for my dog in the area! :)

Dr. Facison, the nurses, techs, and staff of Carnegie Hill Vets currently look after our two cats (Alfie, orange, pictured living his best life during his annual exam; Tilly, mackerel girl), and we cannot say enough about how wonderful they all are. Dr. Facison is thorough in her exam and explanations, answers questions, includes tips and tricks for the best care, and has an excellent besides manner for pets and their people. Estimates are provided and detailed, and everyone is helpful and friendly in answering questions. Highly recommend this practice.

Amazing place..we co parent Koko here in Manhattan along with my sister in Long Island. Carnegie had been great with everything vaccinations, spay even food recommendations for this extremely picky Shihtzhu. As a new dog aunty Im glad we found this place.🐶🙂

TL;DR: Rotating temp vets, no stethoscope used during a “full workup”, yet still recommended and unnecessary $650 echo — transferred care to Small Door Veterinary. Avoid if you value competent, consistent care, and reasonable pricing. Carnegie Hill Veterinarians markets itself as a large practice, but the reality is you never know which vet will show up — in my case, it was a temp who had only been there twice and may not return for months. During Theo’s visit, they didn’t even use a stethoscope to listen to his heart, yet insisted he needed a $650 echocardiogram before a dental cleaning. That’s like selling a car without checking the engine first. Amazing clinic! Dr. Facison and her staff provide the best care for my cat. I live in Queens and travel an hour to CHV because I truly love how they practice veterinary medicine. They always prioritize every pet’s health and provided excellent care when my cat had a dental procedure done here. I trust them with my life. I’m always happy to come back here :)
