My tabby tux boy was having serious oral health issues - drooling, pain, difficulty eating. FIV+ cats often have issues with their mouths, and often a full mouth extraction is the best way to help them. My family veterinarian recommended a specialist to handle this, because removing the bottom canines on a cat can be difficult. She referred us to CAVOS. Dr. Raleigh and Dr. Smith were terrific. They made us feel very listened to, explained everything that was going on, and discussed the most recent research around our cat's medical condition. They answered our questions and concerns, and we felt secure that our cat was in very good, caring hands. I can't really say that I shopped around and I'm not sure how the price compared to other veterinary dental experts in the region, but I don't fee

CAVOS is a fantastic resource to have in this South Fairfax area. It is a specialist desert around here so imagine my surprise to find a veterinary oral surgeon around the corner! The entire process was so easy and welcoming. All my worries for my dog were gone when I realized how kind and knowledgeable the entire staff is. Derby was treated like family u see their care. I had the best cat in the whole world, his name was Paladin. He followed me everywhere, loved cuddles, and being held like a baby. Recently he had difficulty eating, so I took him to his local vet and they said it was an abscessed tooth and wouldn't do surgery due to his advanced age. I called up this clinic last night because he was bleeding into his food bowl and I was afraid he wouldn't make it through the weekend. They fit him right in even though they were booked out until March. Unfortunately, it wasn't a bad tooth--it was an aggressive, fast moving cancer. Dr. Raleigh, Dr. Smith, Carolyn and Trisha were incredibly calm, helpful and clearly know CATS and their fears around travel, being outside their comfort zone and were simply perfect with Max. Max inherited poor gums and had one extraction this time, yet it was a canine which was rough. Yet, the team made sure he was super comfortable and his mom too!
