Canine Sports Dog Training

We could not be happier with our experience using the services of Canine Sports Dog Training! Our 2 year old Australian Shepherd is a real doll, but try as I might I could not get her to quit pulling on the leash. I tried everything, including using two other trainers, but Winter just wouldn’t stop the pulling, making walking her a horrible experience— and I say this having owned and trained an 80lb collie, two shelties and a 60lb Australian Shepherd. None of them were as tough to train on the leash as Winter (she did fine with all of her other training.) Boarding her for two weeks of intensive training really did the trick!! We knew we would return to Canine Sports Dog Training with our second 12-week old puppy. Trainer Emily is beyond just knowledgeable with dog training, she is completely in tune with dogs and can effectively communicate to the humans (adult and children) what the humans need/want to do to meet their goals. We learned so much from Emily and her team in the past 6 weeks that we feel confident to continue training on our own. Our puppy is also now confident, happy, and well-mannered (reasonably so)! Looking forward to the polishing, grad school lessons, and maybe even a board and train!

Uh yeah, this place is legendary. My fiance and I got our dog from a shelter that now is under investigation for animal rights violations (on accident via pet finder). We got Otto and I'm telling you that he had some serious serious fear/anxiety issues. He couldn't go outside for 3 months. Every time we tried he'd freak out and poop himself on the sidewalk. We cannot say enough nice things about Canine Sports Dog Training! The team are the best in their field. We adopted Potato and were overwhelmed with how to handle his training. We even tried training classes at a different facility, but nothing seemed to help. It wasn't until after we discovered their Spectacular Dog program that we saw real changes in his behavior. Not only do the trainers know how to train dogs, but they were also great at training us, which I'm sure was the biggest challenge! Potato no longer pulls on walks, is polite when he sees other dogs, and is working toward becoming a refined young gentleman. We loved our experience with Canine Sports. Our pandemic puppy, Luna needed a lot of help with her nerves. We initially thought having a puppy while working from home would be a great time to train, it is, but we didn't anticipate that it might set Luna up for issues later in adulthood if the world resumed to a normal pace.
