Colleen and Chris are the BEST! Janice the groomer is personable and my dog Koda loves her! Bad reviews must have insanely matted dogs! Even then they really do their best here. Prices are reasonable and competitive for the area (just like your hair, would you really want a cheaper cut?) Keeping up with grooming is super important and as an owner of a double coated dog, we try to visit every 6 to 8 weeks at most. I drive down from NH to come here as my dog has anxiety at other groomers, but he simply adores the team here and I always know my dog is safe and happy and having a good time there. He always looks so comfortable after being groomed, and I love that they have hypoallergenic shampoo options and also options without strong scents. Prior to bringing my 4.5 lb. yorkie home I never realized how hard it would be to find a good groomer. As a puppy my dog had a horrific accident while at the groomers leaving her with a metal plate in her front leg. After listening to my mother’s amazing review about Amanda and the rest of the staff at Boston Barks, I decided to give them a shot. Amanda is a very talented groomer, but above all is someone I can trust with my dog. Even when busy downstairs she will still come up to greet me and to ask whether I have any new grooming preferences. My dog always looks exactly how I asked upon pick up and genuinely appears to be happy and at ease. So far I am very pleased with my experience at Boston Barks and would definitely recommend Amanda as a groomer.

We have been leaving our pups with Pam and her staff for years. It is a kennel. Yes it can be loud. Dogs bark! But Pam is knowledgeable and kind. Her staff work hard and they know our animals! They are quick to answer questions if asked and our pups always seem to be very content when we pick them up. They share videos and pics of our dogs during their stay! I would recommend this boarder. They have room for the animals to roam and run. The groomer does a nice job!

We have 3 small dogs, and use Boston barks for everything from grooming, to play groups, and boarding. Chris and his entire staff are amazing with the dogs, and they love them. Finding a great groomer is tough to do, but here at Boston Barks the dogs always come out perfect. I cant say enough great things about them. Highly recommended, and very affordable.

We have been boarding our Boxer and Boxer mix here for years now. In fact, Pam used to care for our older Boxer years ago, before she even owned this business. She has a ton of experience in understanding animals. The building may be a bit loud and may smell a bit like wet dogs when you first walk in, but come on folks, it's a kennel! The staff is always attentive and makes sure to separate dogs that don't get along with others (especially in open areas). Don't waste your money on some "foo foo doggie daycare"...the staff at North Reading Boarding & Grooming will give your pet all the love they need and more!
