Bluemound Animal Hospital

Our dog in the past has always seen Dr. Wertz who has been incredible. I would highly recommend him to others. Our recent visits were with Dr. Emily Weaver and Jena, have not been up to the usual standards. We never received a follow up call as stated regarding the next steps of care. Per Bluemound Animal Hospital they are experiencing a major staffing shortage which is causing longer hold times on the phone and an average of 15-30 minute wait for appointments. Hopefully their team is able to find new staff members to improve the client experience.

We've been taking our animals to Bluemound for 10 years. They are honest and caring. We currently have 2 cats, one which got FIP and almost didn't make it but Dr. Emily Weaver went above and beyond to make sure our cat had the best chance. She gave us a lot of information, and supported our decisions. Our cat is now thriving, and loves our other cat as well.

Dr. Wertz has been amazing for my ratty babies, always compassionate (even when they poop bomb his jacket), handle with care, quick with teeth trims, and affordable. The receptionists are also very pleasant to chat with and make scheduling appointments very easy!

Very disappointed and very angry. Took my dog in on 11/05/25 for a appointment I set up through their receptionist for this day via phone. When I got there they didn’t have her listed and could get her in 45 minute wait time or reschedule. This is the second time I have had issues with communication at their office. It is hard as hell to get a hold of anyone and back in 2024 after my dog had a reaction to her shot I tried for days with no avail. Why the hell do you not have voice message to call back your clients? I don’t even get responses back when filling out your form on your website. Needless to say I now have to look for a new Veterinarian and I like Dr. Wertz. Dr. Wertz check your staff they will be your demise.

Dr. Wentz is great. He is one of the only vets in SE wisconsin that sees and treats chickens. He is kind, compassionate, and provides a valuable service to hobby farmers/chicken keepers. He is a great resource and has helped me with several issues. Highly recommend.
