This place is great. We went just to look at the animals. We were a little late but they still let us see the kittens. Just looking turned into getting a cat. She is an awesome cat. The people really love animals and you can tell.

I have fostered & adopted from BMHS. The pets are altered to prevent unwanted litters and they are chipped in case they escape they can be easily returned to their owner when found. I highly recommend adopting over buying from a Breeder. Please also consider donating and volunteering. 🙏🐾

We adopted two cats here. Chloe Feb, 2022. The greyish/white one. And Sweet Potato Nov, 2022. The orange/white one. Both adoptions were a great experience. The facility was clean. The employees seemed to genuinely care. The process was quick and easy. Over two years later both cats are healthy and living their best spoiled cat lives. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking to get a cat. Anyone looking to get a dog should come here and get a cat instead.

I am about a shelter doing whatever they can to provide an enriching place for their animals. It is not animal storage. BMHS, takes care of their animals to the best of their ability and are always looking to improve and expand on ideas. A regular group of volunteers come in to help out with dog socialization and exercise. The facility is well maintained and very clean. I'm impressed with the whole operation and I'm proud to offer some time here. The while staff appear to care about their animals. The animal care specialist especially. Some may get jaded by their work but I just see people that have favorites but love dogs.

Love love love the blue mountain humane society we go here all the time just to see the animals. We have adopted two cats from here and the process was fast and easy. The volunteers are very knowledgeable about each and every animal and keep very well documented everything about them. The cages are always clean and it seems that the animals enjoy their time at the blue Mountain humane Society.
