Blount County Humane Society and All Creatures Thrift Store

We adopted two kittens from here last year. They were very accommodating in letting us meet the kittens and thoroughly vetted us prior to adoption. Kornelia was great to work with and has continued to follow up on how the girls are getting along. They even helped find a home for a stray that was found by a friend. They truly have the animals best interest at heart. So glad we have a no kill shelter like this one in Blount County!

Prices are high regardless if they are going to a good cause and the smell inside the building is off putting and will make you leave quickly!

I love the fact that thrift stores are doing " good" things with there profits... but ... like all other thrift stores they profit from donations ( meaning given ) no need to mark things at such ridiculous prices right? I mean isn't any profit at all just that- " a profit " ??? Thrifting used to be like going on treasure hunts.. no so much anymore...

I found an injured kitten shortly after moving to Blount Co and was tight financially. I stopped into BCHS and explained my situation to the volunteers who provided me with resources and advice for helping the kitten. Their generosity led me to become a thrift store and cat volunteer. The volunteers are truly dedicated to the county's only no-kill facility, and they truly care about the community and its animals. The All Creatures Thrift Store is constantly improving and evolving. I highly recommend you utilize BCHS if you are in need, and support them if you are able. The proceeds from the store fund their shelter and fosters, and you can donate monthly on their website!

The prices are great here, fun place to rummage through. Sweet staff too!
