Blackdog Club

Dawn and her team are beyond amazing! You really get a wonderful feeling when you meet them, and most importantly - they want what is best for the animals they care for. They aren’t willing to just hand over a dog and not care who they are going to. They do their homework on you, you are welcome to visit them and they truly care about their animals. We met Dawn and her team a few years ago when we adopted our girl from her (shoutout to “Nova” and her siblings from the 2020 “N” litter! Born dec 2019) and our girl has been a key part of our family since. We refer everyone to this rescue and to Dawn & her team. When we are ready for a sibling for our girl, we’ll be coming back to Dawn and her team.

Dawn is an angel who walks this earth. She puts her heart and soul, blood, sweat and tears into caring for these dogs and finding them the homes they deserve. She has an incredible network of volunteers who help tremendously. Truly this world is better because she's in it. BDC got our dog from the shelter when she was literally skin and bones and worked endlessly to make sure she was rehabbed and adoptable so she could have the life she really deserves. Whether you're looking for a dog, a place to volunteer, or a place to donate your money, this organization is a great one.

The Black Dog Club is something to make people feel hopeful about the future. The lady that runs this place has gone to extreme measures to provide humane care for the animals she takes. She has dedicated her life to the care of abandoned/abused animals and is doing so in such an inspiring way. The bigger dogs are outside in very clean fenced in individually sheltered pins. The smaller dogs are inside in large crates. She provides shots and spay/neutering. We adopted our dog from her a month ago and have really been so thankful for the care she showed him until we found him. She has helped me learn how to care for his specific needs (he was extremely underweight when we got him). This rescue also allows a sleepover trial to make sure your pup is the right fit. Absolutely wonderful working with Black Dog Club! Dawn Herrin is great to work with. She and her staff take such good care of the animals they have. And the have all types of animals. A good array of dogs but not just dogs, they have cats, chickens, horses and other types of animals. We adopted a small dog that we have just fallen in love with. He is so well mannered even though it's believed he was a totally outside dog. He has, do far, city very well with being inside. I would recommend Black Dog Club to anyone looking to adopt an animal!!!

Wonderful adoption agency and community! We love our pup! Reasonable adoption fee and they took care of neutering. Cannot say enough good things about Blackdog Club!
