Bayview Animal Hospital Farmington

I decided to switch to Bayview a few years back just to get my dogs established somewhere, and I chose Bayview sort of on a whim. Incredible and compassionate staff, to say the least. My sweet dog, River, just passed on Friday due to a diagnosis of lymphoma right before Christmas. Dr. Norman and his staff treated her so kindly and they REALLY helped me through the process of losing my soul dog. When I first brought her in for euthanasia after hearing a lot of doom and gloom from the ER Vet we'd gone to, Dr. Norman bought River a few more weeks with a good quality of life. I am writing this review with a heavy heart, because Bayview Animal Hospital has been a part of my family’s life for decades. My parents started taking our pets to Bayview in the 1980s, back when Dr. White’s father was practicing. Dr. White himself has always been my go-to vet. The care, compassion, and kindness he has shown me and my animals over the years is something I will always be grateful for. He embodied what a family-run veterinary practice should be. Unfortunately, since Dr. White has stepped back from the clinic, Bayview has experienced a steady and heartbreaking decline. There is no consistency at the front desk, the wait times are horrendous, and the Layton clinic in particular feels like an absolute circus. For the past couple of years, I have taken my dog, Lucie, to Bayview. She always used to be scared to see the vet. Not any more! Jody has given her shots. Completely painless and without fear or incident. Dr. Norman recently did surgery on one of her eyes. She recovered quickly and I can’t even tell where he cut her. Finally, the other staff, Shelby and Izzy, have been professional and helpful. It’s also a great value for the price. I love this place!

The receptionist Shelby, was very kind and helpful. Izzi also helped me and was great. The technician Jody answered our questions and seemed very knowledgeable. Dr. Norman administered vaccinations to my dogs, they didn’t even seem to notice the injections. Dr. Norman gave us several treatment options, and tried to help us do things in the most cost effective way. All around good experience.

I was recommended here by 3 different people. My VERY OLD cat had a tooth infection that was spreading. They got him in as soon as they could for surgery. They prepared me for the risks of anesthesia with an older cat and assured me they’d monitor him closely. The surgery was very fast and successful. My cat Sugar Foot is now pain free and thriving so well! The cost of the surgery was at an amazing rate. I wasn’t ripped off or mislead. I would recommend this vet to anyone!
