Banfield Pet Hospital

I brought my dog to this location for surgery on January 30, and the staff’s behavior was rude, judgmental, and full of assumptions. I explained my dog’s injury and exactly what happened, but they dismissed me and assumed I had harmed my dog, which is completely false, my dog is my baby, and I would never hurt him. For follow-up care on February 2, I went to a different location that was professional, friendly, and respectful. When I called on February 4 about questions regarding my dog’s medication, they argued, contradicted themselves, and lectured me, even though I have healthcare experience and know how to safely administer medication. This location's service level continues to decline each time I visit. This visit was for pre-paid dental cleaning which included anesthesia. I dropped off my dog@8am, but didn't get started til 10:30. It was recommended a tooth be pulled due to how dark it was. This would NOT be covered by any of my 2 insurances. It was recommended I have X-rays done, which cost extra. Once I got my dog back & took a look at the tooth/teeth in question, there seemed nothing wrong, so an extraction would have been devastating. I was told my dog would be fine to pick up after 1pm, so I called at 2pm & told my dog was not ready. The hospital closes at 5pm, so I called at 4:30 wondering if I could pick up my dog? They told me I could pick up my dog...why didn't they call me, especially since it was time to clo

I never leave reviews, but dude every last one of them, from the front desk to the doctors, were complete angels. Kind. Patient. Understanding. They broke everything down for me in a way that was easy to understand and no bs. Bedside manners were through the roof. So grateful for this staff. This place will make you feel like more than just a number, they care.

Banfield Seal Beach has been our Duke’s medical provider since day one. We highly recommend them for your pet’s needs. Everyone staff member even as team members have changed, have always been loving, caring, straightforward, and understanding. They’ve always checked with us regarding service cost and worked with us regarding insurance fees. We love Banfield SB!

Over price for cat Pedi. Servious ended early saying cat was not happy. I was told I had to midicate cat with pain meds. Nope. I just did not want to put my cat through something not needed.
