I was very disappointed today, this is the 2nd Banfield I have been to in Arizona and for the second time the vets have done nothing to take care of my cat. I have never had an issue with taking my fur baby to a vet until here. My cat needs to be seen and she feels comfortable with me. All the vet had to do was look at her nipple to tell me if something was normal or not. The vet doctor refused to come in the room where I was with my cat to even try and look. She didn't even come to introduce herself like most vets do. Im really thinking of leaving Banfield altogether and get some different insurance. The Banfield is nothing like how California's Banfield is. 4 years never an issue until now. I was also told that the vet doctors in Banfield dont do any part of an exam in the room with you
I walked in to my scheduled appt. Immediately no greeting, I was coming in because my dog was advised by an Emergency Vet to be retested for Valley Fever. The vet assistant said the vet was not there and they were short staffed. His name was Quinn and he was short and kept asking the same questions after I repeatedly kept answering his questions, he asked for my folder even though I already gave him all of my files for Groot and he was absolutely rude when asking for my folder as he didn’t ask, he rudely stated “I need you to give me that folder.” My dog Groot takes 2 medications and the assistant was rude in asking “why is he taking these medications?!” I gave him the records and he even called the vet to confirm and still asked me questions on why he was taking both medications. Dr. Harod is cold, rude, condescending, and lacks empathy. She walks in and stated “so I don’t get what we’re doing today.” She did not smile at all and spoke with an attitude like I was a child she was scolding. We have been treating a difficult case in our dog for over 4 years now. At the last visit we had another vet mention we start speaking about quality of life or end of life care since the medications are not doing what they should be. So I did a quality of life visit today and the way she spoke to me and regarding this case was absolutely unacceptable. I am an RN and currently in NP school, and I would never speak to any of my patients or their families the way she did. She repeated several times she would not do euthanasia because my dog is still young and maybe “rehoming her to s
I thought I would give Banfield another chance with my new 8 week old puppy. I was in, what I thought was the exam room, with whom I am assuming was the vet tech, he couldn't really answer any of my questions. And he took my dog in the back & brought her back, said everything was good, but still couldn't answer any of my other questions without having to go back and ask the doctor and come back and talk to me. I would prefer face to face with the doctors. I think that's very important. Why I never got to see or talk to the veterinarian who supposedly did the exam makes me question them. I Had a similar experience with late dog a few years ago. Needless to say I will certainly stay with local vets who care about our pets.
Blindsided!! I brought my dog in for her paw, expecting some clarity and treatment options. Instead, I left with a $777 bill for services I did not authorize. The vet had already run extensive bloodwork and tests without my consent before even discussing costs with me. I never agreed to their “wellness plan” and specifically said I needed time to decide if it was even worth it. After researching, I declined but by then, they had already charged me for bloodwork and other add-ons I did not request. On top of that, I never even saw the actual vet. Everything was handled by a tech who stumbled over answers and could not give me a clear diagnosis for my dog’s paw. Despite all the unnecessary tests, I still have no answers about what was actually wrong with her foot. This feels misleading, u
