We brought our dog in after she had a reaction to a new food, and the care she received was genuinely great. The nurse was incredibly friendly and reassuring, and the doctor was very gentle with our dog, which we truly appreciated. The only thing I want to mention is that one comment about us choosing puppy food because it was “cute” felt a bit dismissive. As first-time dog owners, we didn’t know about transitioning foods, and we kept her on puppy food simply because she wouldn’t eat the adult options we tried. We also felt like we did the right thing by bringing her in immediately when she had a reaction, so it would’ve been nice to receive a bit more support instead of feeling talked down to. That said, our top priority was that our dog was treated kindly and received proper care — and

During our recent visit with my 4-year-old dog, who we were concerned may have a urinary tract infection, we found the experience to be unhelpful and somewhat dismissive. Prior to the appointment, we were informed that we could collect a urine sample ourselves to avoid the need for the veterinarian to obtain one through manual expression. We collected the sample at 12:40 PM, in advance of our 1:00 PM appointment. However, we were later advised that samples collected beforehand were not acceptable. Additionally, during the consultation, Dr. Firestine commented to my partner and me that our dog should be given something to relax him during future examinations, suggesting he was "pooping and peeing himself" from just being petted. This was both inaccurate and unnecessary. He has never been a

Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience with Dr. Cynthia Oquendo I have been a loyal Banfield client for over 8 years, but my recent experience with veterinarian Dr. Cynthia Oquendo was absolutely unacceptable. Her behavior toward both my dog and me was disrespectful and inhumane. Dr. Oquendo clearly lacks the experience and skill to handle larger dogs and shows no empathy or understanding toward pet owners’ concerns. Despite my pet’s full history being documented in Banfield’s system, she completely dismissed my input and refused to prescribe a necessary medication, showing no willingness to listen or collaborate. Beyond her lack of medical judgment, Dr. Oquendo’s attitude toward clients is appalling. She is condescending, unprofessional, and lacks basic communication ski

This place helped my brindle boy spike with his arthritis shot and helped get my Twain on better anxiety meds. I love its look and that it’s a not inside of a petsmart.

Banfield & it’s amazing staff saved my fur baby! About two weeks ago, I woke up to heart-shattering sounds of my cat, Mufasa, meowing in pain. I could tell that something was seriously wrong and I was devastated. Banfield got him in first thing that morning and worked on him all day. He had a block in his bladder and was not able to pee on his own. His kidney and potassium levels were through the roof, and he was in extreme pain. Due to financial reasons, I was unable to bring him to a more specialty hospital, which was recommended. I was heartbroken at the thought that I may have to euthanize my baby boy. But God sent me to the right place! The Banfield doctors and staff worked hard over three days to unblock Mufasa’s bladder and give him lots of medicine and fluids, which brought his bl
