Very happy with Banfield. Super friendly service from the front desk to the Doctor! Dr. Giahi was so thorough and very kind. She took the time to really listen and explain things. She truly loves animals. I won’t bring our dogs anywhere else.

There are so many things to love about Banfield pet Hospital. I go to the one in Aliso Viejo, California. The prices are great, my vet, Dr. Singer, is so knowledgeable, and after an exam can tell me exactly what’s wrong with my dog without suggesting a long range of very expensive tests like they used to do at the VCA hospital. Also, unlike VCA, the front desk staff is super friendly. Call you by name when you walk in, talks to your dog and brings you to a nice comfortable place to wait while the vet is coming. The nurse, Morgan, thoroughly explained the procedure needed and made sure that we understood it completely. She even saw us out when we were leaving to check to see if we had any further questions. Beware of the front desk older lady named “Kay” or Kayla. I joined their program for my pet and had one single visit. I was told I can get phone or virtual visits included in the plan. After my initial visit regarding my pets liver, I had further questions regarding my pets diet so I called in to book a phone appointment with the Doctor, easy enough? No the lady Kay argued with me about the simple appointment she told me I wasn’t allowed a phone appointment I had to call a nurse hotline number which I declined as I’m allowed a phone appointment. After her trying to goad me into calling some offsite 3rd party hotline I told her I want an appointment follow up with the vet my dog saw. She then lies and tells me the vet just walked out the door on vacation for a week. Unbelievable this women

I have been taking my dog Luby to Banfield since she was born 6 years ago. Up until they closed all their satillite offices and only allow for visits at PetSmart locations, the service has been like night and day and not in a good way, They are extremely understaffed and while the individuals are all caring and knowledgeable, the waiting periods go beyond anything approaching reasonable. I take her there now only because of the insurance plan and because I don't really know where to go.

My experience is consistent with the other 1 star reviews. I asked the front desk Casey for a very specific tick exam and she assured me the Vet would inspect and comb out any ticks. I waited 4 hours to be told by the Vet “No we don’t comb out ticks, buy your own comb and do it your self”. Banfield Please tell your customers upfront so they can be honestly informed. The service quality at this location is very unpredictable.
