Banfield Pet Hospital

We loved this Banfield pet hospital. The whole experience was more professional than many Drs offices that we've been to. The staff was kind friendly and efficient. Sydney was very thoughtful and thorough with all of our questions. Great experience here at Acworth Banfield.

My 13-year old fur baby was really sick and couldn't keep any food down, so she was starting to get dehydrated. When she didn't show any improvement for the second day in a row, the Acworth Banfield team didn't hesitate to squeeze us into their schedule same-day and took the time to sit with us, run tests, and figure out what was happening. Although I'm sure they had a full schedule, they didn't act like it was an inconvenience, and politely answered at least 50 questions I had about the tests and medications. I couldn't be more appreciative of their help, professionalism, and kindness, and they made my stressful day a little bit easier.

I took my elderly dog to Banfield because she has seizures and needed a Keppra prescription to prevent them. The medication was filled once, but then I was told the doctor I saw was a visiting doctor from another location and they would not approve refills. Banfield then insisted I return to the Kennesaw location for another exam so a different doctor could reauthorize the same medication—even though my dog was already examined and diagnosed. This makes no sense medically and feels like an unnecessary attempt to charge for another office visit. The staff is friendly, but the doctors and management are completely disorganized. When it comes to continuity of care—especially for an elderly pet with seizures—this clinic is a mess. I would not recommend this location.

**UPDATED** 12/08/2025 Since this review Banfield Acworth has completely apologized for my experience, and has taking good care of my pups. It's an unfortunate experience however, I am pleased with the response and the care for my fur-boys. My first call was at 8am on Saturday looking to get answers for my corgi that has been suffering with seasonal allergies that Banfield has been treating him for over the last month. After a cycle of antibiotics, probiotics, and anti-inflammatory medicated wipes he is still having terrible symptoms such as fever, swollen paws, excessive drooling, rash around his eyes and mouth, and heavy panting. I called at 8am and was told to make an appointment for Monday. I declined as this seemed emergent and I wanted him to have relief sooner than Monday. I then

I went in for an emergency visit. They squeezed us in and figured out my dogs issue. This was the cheapest emergency vet visit. I've walked out of vets paying $300 for them to tell me give my dog Benadryl. Then I have the wellness plan and saved even more. So nice to have a place where my dogs can actually get routine care instead of just yearly vaccines. You can tell that everyone there cares about your pet.
