I’ve had the opportunity to work with Kindness Matters Ferret Rescue on two separate occasions, and it’s been clear every time that Debbie and her team truly care about the ferrets in their care. The level of dedication, attention, and compassion they show is rare. Kindness matters is truly amazing! As a family we were going through a very tough time and we decided to get my daughter her first pet. That is when we met Cricket who became more than a pet she was truly part of our family. I was the last person to think that a ferret could impact our family but she truly has. Debbie is simply the best at what she does. She is kind and compassionate, to say the very least. She spends every waking minute of her time caring for ferrets with illnesses, ones who have been abandoned, and all the ones in between. While she isn’t tending to the ferrets, she is educating others and spreading awareness about them. I recommend Kindness Matter Ferret Rescue to everyone I know interested in learning about/needing help with/or wanting to adopt ferrets. Debbie has been a life saver for us! We adopted a ferret with Adrenal Disease from her, a companion for the ferret we already had. If it weren't for this and her educating us on the subject our first ferret would have gone a lot longer before also being diagnosed with Adrenal disease which would've prolonged treatment. Also she's made the cost of treatment much more affordable for us! I am not saying she's a vet but I've never even met a vet that knows as much about ferrets as she does. Most vets around me have minimal knowledge about ferrets. If you're looking for a ferret please consider adopting from her rather than fuel the breeders!

All in all, six of my ferrets over the last 20 years, have come to me directly or indirectly from Debbie’s shelter. She is incredibly knowledgeable about ferrets and TRULY wants the best outcome for every furbaby she encounters.
