After struggling to find a vet for our snapping turtle we found this place. We saw Dr Katrina for our snapping Turtle Leo who was getting an infection. She & the staff were super nice & helpful. I learned Dr Kat has alot of snapping tirtle experience witch was very relieving. The staff completely light up seeing our Leo & was genuinely excited to have him there. They would do weekly check up over the phone, They wrote his name on the door in a fancy way & everything. They truly love what they do there. It may have taken a few visits to find out what was wrong however after an x-ray ray it was clear & he was just eating sand witch we got rid of in his tank. Dr Kat is amazing & words cannot due justice of how thankful we are to find her! She saves our boys life! Thank you guys again.
Hi! I am the peasant (owner) of @LEMONTHELOP! (: I am that overly crazy bunny mom that revolutionized the “free the buns” movement back in 2018. I’ve spent years educating rabbit owners on ALL things BUN all over the world for 7 years now and one thing everyone knows about me is that I take Lem’s care & health VERY seriously!! With that in mind, I’ve also always struggled with WHO to trust Lemon with as far as a DVM goes. It took me a year or so to find his last DVM and she has been nothing shy of a blessing in our lives. As you may already know, rabbits should not go under anesthesia UNLESS absolutely necessary & I can honestly say, I prefer to stay away from it at all costs. Anyway, LEM became critically ill 3 weeks ago and I had no option but to take him into a vet. Our trusted vet is o
My little Pierre’s love of shiny things became a huge issue when I noticed an earring go missing recently. After turning the house upside down looking for it, I became suspicious that it had fallen on the floor and was found by my little buddy. X-rays confirmed that he had not swallowed one, but TWO earrings, one I had never even noticed had gone missing. Both had traveled to his gizzard and my normal exotic vet was not comfortable with trying to remove them. She recommended Dr. Tyson as the one for the job. In spite of being one of the scariest times I’ve ever experienced with an animal thanks to my unfortunate habit of googling, Dr. Tyson was able to remove the items from my little stinker’s tummy and he has been recovering phenomenally. They kept me updated constantly during his stay v
I'm very pleased that my husband and I found this practice. Over the last month, the vets and staff have helped us through the death of one beloved budgie and the care of two new budgies, which it turned out were sick when we acquired them. Dr. Dazen does a fabulous job of explaining everything. I've learned more about budgie anatomy, growth, and health issues from him than three previous vets. The nurses/vet assistants are so kind and supportive. I only wish I'd discovered this place sooner.
I’m rather selective about what vet office my cockatiel Fig goes to after some experiences at places that claim they handle avian care but don’t specialize. I don’t think Fig will ever go to a different vet after our amazing experiences at Avian & Exotic Philly! Everyone in the office genuinely cares about any animal that comes through their door, and they are thorough at explaining procedures, cost estimates, and answering any questions. The price is more than reasonable for the high level of care received from the team. Thank you Dr. Tyson, Dr. Wilhelm, and all the support staff (especially Sierra Rose from the front desk)!
