Customer Reviews
My partner and I had a wonderful experience adopting Calypso, our lovely Pearl Cockatiel, from Avalon Aviary in early 2025. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable, and it is clear that they prioritize the well-being of their birds. Every bird there seemed happy, healthy, and well socialized. Thank you, Avalon, for bringing Calypso into our lives!
We wish to apologize for our previous review. We have had hand fed birds before and none were as mistrusting or as skittish as this bird. We were mistaken about the hatch date. We were only looking at the original purchase paper. After speaking with Susanne she offered to take the Conure back and refund our purchase even though she has a no refund policy. We found Susanne to be a caring person who just wants what is best for her birds and that they are given to a good home. If we felt we could be good bird parents we would go back to Avalon to find our forever feathered friend.
We drive from Denver for their seed mixes for our yellow crowned Amazon parrot. The have quality food, toys, and supplies. All the birds either there for sale or as their permanent home seem well cared for, have toys, clean cages, and are (generally) well behaved (can’t blame them for the parrots and their toddler like behavior lol).
Birds are way to expensive there are no prices on anything and the to woman behind were not very helpful. Update: Your response to we can't give the birds away for free is the exact same attitude I got from the ladies. That were working there. But I am assuming you are one of them. I did not ask for a free bird I am just saying $1000 for a bird that would be $600 anywhere else is kinda crazy and there were not prices on any but the bird cages and when I ask about why did someone not say what you did instead it was straight attitude.
Yesterday we stopped in to get seed for our cockatiel and possibly to see if others would be compatible with him. While we got an invite to introduce ours with theirs, one employee decided that we were no longer welcome, and after leaving my wife inquired about the other cockatiel she encountered just deliberate rudeness and unprofessional ism, on buyers perspective lady make sure your not chasing a sale away like ya did, not to smart, and with that we'll direct our business else where! BTW we got our bird from you, so your loss.
