I want to share my experience with Astoria Animal Society so other pet owners can be cautious. I brought my healthy three-year-old male cat here to be neutered. I was instructed to drop him off and return 4–5 hours later. When I picked him up, he was extremely weak, which I initially assumed was normal after surgery. However, I immediately noticed he had a very strong smell of urine. He did not smell like this when I dropped him off, and it concerned me. Over the next few days, although he was eating, he remained unusually weak and disoriented. At one point, he couldn’t even find his way onto the sofa. Bottom line: they care. They’ve always gone above and beyond for me and my furry boy multiple times. I will never go anywhere else.

All staff were incredibly rude and the vet didn’t seem to know what she was doing or how to handle a cat. Facilities weren’t all that clean either with stains left everywhere. Overall wouldn’t recommend and suggest you go elsewhere.

I brought my cat Neo here yesterday for neuter and the staff were very friendly, caring, and kind I definitely recommend the place. The 1st visit you'll have to pay $200 for bloodwork and exam - the 2nd visit on the day of the neuter $232 bc the staff will include and provide the e-cone and the medication for pain reliever so its a fair and reasonable price and the place looks closed but you'll need to call and make an appointment and when you arrive you need to call them and let know them know that youre outside so they can buzz you in. When you come to pick up your pet also call or txt them. (Appointments are made over thr phone/No Walk Ins) Overall i feel very thankful for the staff bc my cat was put in good hands 🙏🏻

This is the best place in Queens, staff is amazing. They treated my dogs with much love and care. Best prices in New York for sure!
