My puppy is still getting used to grooming after a bad experience with another grooming service. I contacted Astoria Holistic Pet Spa with questions about their safety protocols for handling fidgety puppies who aren't used to being groomed yet. They replied the same day with a thoughtful and detailed message explaining their process noting that the first visits are geared toward confidence-building rather than perfection, and reassured me that my dog's safety would be prioritized. So I booked with Melissa and really glad I did. She did an excellent job working at my puppy's pace. I arrived a bit early from picking her up and noticed how patient and caring Melissa was handling her at the grooming table. I requested a teddy bear cut and was happy with the results!

We have had nothing but a fantastic experience coming here.we travel from Orange County NY. The grooming of our pup Chico is 2nd to none.I can almost guarantee you will not be disappointed. The photos Astoria holistic spa puts up on Instagram are accurate of the grooming quality of their dogs. My dog has been included in those photos numerous times and he looks exactly as the photos. They are as professional as one can get. From our experience, they’ve always had Chico ready when they say he was gonna be ready. I have a very sweet but very very VERY scared/anxious cat. She’s never harmed a person but she likes to run and gets mega stressed. Long haired. The man at the front has a bit of a hard exterior but a kind and soft inside, and I can tell he cares about the animals well being. She’s 6 and never been professionally groomed and I appreciate my cat being clean and cared for. I am a pet owner who worries about their pet, maybe too much, and I appreciate that he recognized that by the time I was letting her go to their care. Thanks guys!

This grooming salon is fantastic! The staff is always friendly, and their prices are great. One of the biggest perks for me is their availability—unlike some of my previous groomers, who had month-long waitlists, I can always get an appointment when I need one. They also go the extra mile with adorable themed photos after each grooming session, giving off fun early 2000s photo studio vibes. And the best part? They send my pup home with a big dog cookie every time—she absolutely loves it!

People who leave spiteful reviews because they have attitude issues are pathetic, with that being said.I have nothing to say but good things about Yecid. I took my baby Bella (a cat by the way with a sassy attitude) a while back ago because she was not grooming herself and highly matted. She was also longed hair so definitely required extra care and patience. Not only did Yecid manage to bath her and groom her, she had a nasty access around her bum that was infected. Knowing she would need medical care. He shaved that area so carefully and did an amazing job cleaning and took her to the vet ASAP afterwards.
