As the Tail Wags

I have been hesitant to leave a review but feel compelled to do so.... I was referred to this groomer a couple of years ago by a neighbor. The owner is sweet and her prices are fair. The young woman who help me with check-in and check-out was amazing! However, one of her groomers - is not very friendly. I brought my two mini schnauzers there a few times over the last couple of years but stopped after one of my schnauzers came home twice with his ear nicked. The groomer seemed very flustered both times with my pup when I arrived to pick them up. So I decided to try another groomer... However, on March 26th, my usual groomer was unavailable so I decided to give As the Tail Wags another try. I asked for 2 standard mini schnauzer full groom cuts. No skirt and a trim on the legs. My pup is not the easiest girl to groom. She is wary of strangers and a little anxious (as is her mama). Kristie worked with my dog on multiple occasions letting me bring her in just to visit and smell and get used to the people and location. Today she was able to cut AND dremel her nails. They have an amazing understanding of dog behavior and body language, breed characteristics and an extra dose of patience for those dogs that aren’t happy go lucky love everyone personalities. I am so grateful to have found as the tail wags. I will be a lifelong client!

Kriste is a very unpleasant and unprofessional groomer. Before paying after my Yorkie was groomed, she asked me if he looked ok and did anything need to be adjusted. I asked for his toenails to be smoother around the edges so he wouldn't scratch me. She has an immediate attitude, rolling her eyes and took him back to the table saying she saw and recognized it needed to be fixed. I also asked for some of the hair to be cut a little shorter on top of his forehead. Once again, she rolled her eyes at me. While trimming it, she forcefully grabbed the hair on his chin, causing his head to be jerked around very aggressively. I was quite confused and not happy with the way she was so rough and mentioned that she had no reason to be that way. Her excuse was that she has been grooming for 10 years a

Kristie and her team are amazing! They took the time to groom a few matted rescue dogs who needed some much needed TLC. the pups are feeling so much better and are ready to start looking for their forever homes 🖤 I’ll always recommend As The Tail Wags. Their care and knowledge is unmatched!

Let me tell you this. I have an Old English Sheepdog-not the easiest dog to groom. As the Tail Wags took the time to talk with me, make sure I was comfortable with their grooming plan, they were honest and straight forward. Most important-they are dog people. They cared for Snoopy as if he was their own. I am so happy. I would recommend As the Tail Wags to anyone looking for a safe, wonderful place to take your dog. If I could give a million stars, I would.
