Apex Vets

The doctors and staff were amazing and put our minds at ease with the treatment plan. There was a critical case ahead of us but they made sure we were taken care of. The facility was comfortable and accommodating for both Pixie and I. I highly recommend Apex! Dr Victoria Moncur was so understanding and comforting. I can not thank her enough for the time she spent going over everything with us and putting our minds at ease. Pixie thanks her as well :) How caring and empathetic the doctor was.

My dog was hit by a bus. It was absolutely awful. But the care he has received both from the emergency and surgery staff at Apex has been amazing. They were great with communication when he was in the ICU and they have been great to work with on an outpatient basis too. I have met just about everyone there at this point, and they are all kind and thoughtful. I am thankful to have them here in Silver Spring!

I have been using your practice since my dog, Papi, was sick (he passed away last year). Every time we had an emergency, we came to your location. We stopped using other vets/emergency rooms due to financial reasons; no insurance would cover his pre-existing condition. By far, you are the best. Now, with Bigotes(my rescued cat) I've had the same great experience. The place always clean and smoothless checking process. I was advised about the waiting time at the front desk when I checked in. The doctor explained Bigotes' condition very well and performed no tests without letting me know about the prices first. I really appreciate having an emergency vet near my area with affordable prices. Everyone was very nice and did a great job. What I appreciated most is the pricing.

I want to give the entire Apex Vets team a huge shoutout. Scooby Doo injured his paw eight weeks ago while my spouse and I were on vacation, and my mom and my boss rushed him to Apex Vets. From the moment they walked in through his final visit six weeks later, he received truly exceptional care. Dr. Valenzano and Dr. Sarowitz were incredible. I’m a total helicopter paw-parent, and they were so patient with my questions and worries. They explained everything clearly—what was happening with his paw, the treatment plan, and how to manage his medications. Every visit felt reassuring, from check-in to check-out. Excellent care! The staff, nurses, and doctors were so kind and easy to talk to. They took their time to explain what was going on, the plan of care, and the next steps. We wish they had primary care there. Dr. Ehrig and Dr. Mendhiratta were absolutely great! What I appreciated most was their compassion and care for what we (including our dog) were going through. One doctor sat on the floor to speak with us, which made him seem like a regular guy who simply cared. The other vet came to meet me at the waiting area and sat with me to explain what was going on. It all felt so comfortable and not like they were preaching at us.
