They killed my cat. Everyday for a year now I check their website hoping he’ll pop up listed as one of the animals for adoption. He was such a good cat, he didn’t deserve that and all I wanted was a better life for him. They euthanized him a few days after I surrendered him, and I just wish they had communicated before they killed them. I would do anything to have him back.

We came in person to adopt an adult cat last year and ended up going home with the sweetest cat that same day. We took a risk and based our decision on a brief interaction with a cat who was immediately friendly with us. We found going through some of the medical and background info with the staff a little confusing at first but we got it sorted out eventually. We cannot believe that we are her third home because she is so sweet. We are very thankful to have her as a member of our family!

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The staff were rude over the phone and had poor communication skills by both phone and email. Most seemed annoyed and acted like helping was a burden, as if they were doing me a favor rather than supporting adoption. The only positive experience was with Kasandra, who was helpful, hardworking, and made my cat’s adoption process smooth. Without her, this would have been a very frustrating experience.

The Animal Welfare League of Arlington is a wonderful place to find your forever beloved animal. This wonderful rescue protects dogs and cats desperately searching for their forever homes. Whether you decide to foster or plan a pajama party for your fur baby, Arlington Welfare League will help walk through developing a good relationship with your forever new friend. Offering proper introduction and educational awareness on behavioral needs and attempting to minimalize unfortunate returns to shelter life.

This was such an amazing experience. The staff were so kind, knowledgeable and informative. They gave me my beautiful baby girl Hestia, (formerly Starburst at the shelter). She has brought so much joy to our household and has been a wonderful big sister to our adopted kitten. I am so grateful I was given the opportunity to give her a loving home.
