Animal Shelter Society

I won't go below 4 stars, as it's an animal shelter, but I am very disappointed with a friend's adoption attempt. I understand last week was a holiday, but they were also closed on Tuesday, when I called, as the person who would take the animal if something happened to my friends. I called back Wednesday to find out they were closing in about fifteen minutes at noon. I understand and support taking a long weekend for the holiday, but maybe work your usual off day during the week to cover it. My friends didn't find out the dog had been adopted elsewhere until my friend followed up on Monday afternoon. She waited the entire holiday long weekend only to have to follow up herself and get bad news. As a society I think we have gone past the point of sanity with adopting animals. It is literally

The staff are all extremely professional, kind, and caring. They take the extra steps to ensure that you're adopting a perfect match for your family. I genuinely can't say enough kind words about this rescue. Cooper is amazing and settling in quite well. He's already chosen his favorite spots and claimed blankets. If he isn't cuddling us or curled up on a cozy blanket, then he's romping around exploring every toy in the house, or looking out the window with his new brother.

We adopted our cat, Aurora (formerly Akasha) from the Zanesville shelter a couple years ago. They do a great job ensuring the animals are going to the right home and the staff are very friendly!

Sadly I could not find a place to live with my family and it was either go homeless with my children or take my best friends to a place where they can have a chance to be adopted to a nice family while giving myself and my family a place to live i love you Jasper Lady Valentine and Calvin we will forever miss you

We were thrilled to find a place to have the neighbor's cat we inherited when they moved neutered. So many area vets are too busy to take new patients. The price was reasonable & Slim has his rabies shot & first vaccination for a little extra. We called on Mon. & there was actually a slot opened on Wed. We are so happy they offer this service.
