I had a great experience with the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley. The staff were professional, helpful, and clearly care about the animals. I recently adopted a Minuet cat, and she’s been an awesome addition to my home. The adoption process was easy and well-organized, and they made sure I had everything I needed to get started. You can tell they really put effort into finding the right matches for both people and pets. Big thanks to the entire team for the great work you do every day.

I love the fact that they check your references. The staff is great to deal with and they truly do there best to find good forever homes for the Fur babies. 👍👍🤠
I like the place.staff was friendly and courteous. Place felt comfortable. Very clean building. The air had a clean fresh scent. Not a overly sanitized smell. Has the feeling that the animals are well cared for. The staff is to be commended for the work they do with the limited resources they have. I'm quit thankful for the tremendous support and donations from community. Stopped there today 8/22/25 place still has all the positive qualities as stated above.
Adopted our Mandy awhile ago wonderful group to deal with and you all called her April see is doing fantastic
