Customer Reviews
This place is truly wonderful. The staff and volunteers are incredibly kind, supportive, and always willing to help answer any questions along the way. This is our second adoption from them in the past three years, and each experience has been just as special as the first. The meet-and-greets are thoughtfully done, and you can really see how much they care about finding the right match for every dog and family. Rafael is truly the Cesar Millan of the VAO — his knowledge and honesty mean so much. When we recently met another pup, the interaction with our dog felt a little tense, and he gently guided us in realizing it wasn’t the best fit for her. Then we met our second choice, Landin, and everything just felt right. He was calm, relaxed, and you could instantly see how happy she was with
We drove to this shelter on Sunday to look at their adoptable dogs. We were impressed. The moment we walked in, a very nice person greeted us right at the door. From there we were able to visit the kennel and see all of the dogs. Everyone was very cordial and very nice. The facility is extremely clean. The individual dog areas are large and contain. comfy beds for the animals. Kathy Powell
I adopted this little guy named Chance. Probably because he's scared and will take a little bit of time to settle in. He's been renamed "Greyson". Once he feels more comfortable, I might be back so he has a female companion. The staff and volunteers were very friendly. I'm giving him a "Chance" at a much better life than living on the streets. He's from Cherry 🍒 Hill too. Thanks again.
My fiance and I adopted our dog Freya (Sandra) from the Voorhees Animal Orphanage and we could not be more grateful to them for giving us our perfect girl. The facility was clean and organized, their staff is friendly and willing to answer any and all questions. Their application process is easy and review period is thorough. We can’t wait to give Freya the best home and we’re so happy we chose to go through this shelter.
