I have never been to a pet dentist before, and I could not have imagined a better experience. Dr. Mendoza's whole staff was incredibly friendly, and the doctor herself spent about 20 minutes discussing at home dental techniques. The staff is great about keeping you up to date with progress on a dedicated procedure cell phone. I felt that this team genuinely cares about the pets they care for. I have my other cat signed up to visit them in about 6 months. Side note, as someone that trains people in my day-to-day, I think that the way Dr. Mendoza discussed the technical items and techniques with me was awesome. If you are a vet in training and are considering her for a residency, I think she would be awesome to work with and learn from.

Dr Mendoza and her whole staff was great! We took our 6yo Bernese Mountain Dog in for a regular cleaning and to have an overgrowth & Premolar extracted because the growth came back after removing previously. She also did a full radiograph on his mouth and found one of his upper Canine teeth had a dead root and suggested a root canal versus a extraction because it is more invasive at this point to extract. She advised that a root canal is a 95% success rate so we went with that option. The whole process was seamless. They had constant communication either through text or phone call. She and her staff were all very friendly and thorough. Would definitely recommend them for any dental service needed for your pets!!!!

My 2 year old German Shepherd, Quinn, had broken a couple teeth over the last year or two, and more recently she had more severe break on her lower canine. While extraction at our normal vet was an option, I felt that she deserved a chance to preserve her teeth and explored the option of getting root canals done. The staff at Animal Dental Clinic of Pittsburgh were nothing short of amazing. We felt welcome as soon as we walked in for our appointment. From a thorough consult with Dr. Mendoza to the surgical procedure, my mind was at ease knowing my girl was in their care. I am amazed by the frequent text updates throughout the whole procedure and the document emailed to me at the end of the day with all surgical pictures and explanations of each. My cat Gloria needed all of her teeth removed, which is, of course, stressful for both of us. They were super accommodating and supported us both during and after treatment. This was obviously expensive, but they definitely didn’t nickel and dime us- they gave us plenty of post-op things for free that I’d usually expect to be charged for. Every staff member I met was lovely and caring!

My pup Murphy,unfortunately had an injury to his tooth that needed prompt treatment. Not only was Animal Dental Clinic Of Pittsburgh quick to respond, they were able to get him treated within 48 hours! The experience and training that the staff has is unmatched. Dr Mendoza and her staff were attentive to my dog's needs and answered all of my questions. I was updated with texts and pictures during the procedure with explanations of every step of the procedure. The staff were absolutely wonderful with my pup. Their bedside manner was so outstanding, my dog wanted to go back in after he was discharged. A very impressive animal clinic. You can rest knowing your pet is safe and comfortable when they are in the care of Dr. Mendoza and her staff.
