Animal Clinic of Chardon

First off, I’m writing anonymously in case I decide to continue bringing my dog here I don’t want her to be targeted. Secondly. I’ve been bringing my dog here for 3/4 years. I’ve always felt really good about the care, the staff, etc. this last visit I am completely and utterly devastated, disgusted, and beyond sad about. Jodi was the tech and not only was she rude to me but rude to my dog. Which is extremely concerning since she works in an animal industry. My dog is very afraid of the vet. There was zero patience shown by Jodi. After the weigh in we get to the room & Jodi makes sly comments the rest of the time. I wanted to cancel the appointment because of her and truthfully I should have. I’m kicking myself for not canceling in the moment & either switching vets or coming back when Jod

This vet clinic is absolutely phenomenal from beginning to end . My cat Draco needed an appointment for his injured paw .when I called to make the appointment (as a new patient) the front desk staff was very friendly and was able to get my baby in immediately . When we got there , they put us back in a room and waited only a couple minutes for the doctor to come in. Jessica and Jodi are the 2 ppl that conducted the exam on Draco and they were thorough, patient , friendly , knowledgeable , and Handled my (terrified) cat with love and care. Both of them explained everything they did/were doing so nothing came as a surprise , and then made sure when we went home, we had a clear understanding of how to treat him when we got home . Very impressed with Dr. Tom and staff. I was with my previous veterinarian for 25 + years. The only reason I left is he retired and sold his veterinarian hospital to a national owner. It was very important to me to have a veterinarian that was an owner/operator for my 4 dogs. Dr. Tom is one of the nicest veterinarians I’ve ever met. When he sat on the floor with my dogs and showed them compassion and care I was really impressed. Never have I seen a veterinarian treat my dogs so well. Thanks for making my transition an easy one.

We decided to change to Animal Clinic of Chardon after researching options in the area, as we were unhappy with our established clinic. Unfortunately we entered our first appointment with one of our cats experiencing a sudden, unexpected, and life threatening emergency. The staff quickly went to work treating her, rushing her back immediately even though we’d never brought any of our pets here before. Dr. Askew and all the staff treated us like we were well established clients since the moment we walked in the door, even though they’d never met our cats before. They provided expertise, guidance, reason, and most importantly compassion for us and our pets. We definitely feel the change to this clinic was the right decision.
