Called this morning hoping to get help for my dog, who was clearly in distress and needed urgent relief. I began the call by kindly asking how her day was—putting my own panic aside—only to be immediately cut off and told, “I don’t know what that procedure is, ma’am.” I clarified that I was asking about an unblocking procedure with an IV catheter, and she responded with, “Well, we just can’t do surgery today. You’d be better off going to Access.” Access is a well-known emergency clinic that charges astronomical fees, and yet this location is right next to my home—but apparently can’t be bothered.
