Dr. Learn's practice was recommended by my regular vet. Daisy has a traumatic history (hit by car as a puppy, had multiple surgeries and broken bones, abandoned by owners, trust issues, and a bite history). Daisy came to me after living for 18 months with her foster Mom. Daisy's Fear-Anxiety-Stress made it almost impossible for her to receive even minor routine veterinary care or to emotionally navigate the transition to my home. She was traumatized, fearful, reactive, etc. Pain (and the fear of it) were central to Daisy's lived experience and I did not have the skills or training to manage a dog with this history.
