Anchorage Veterinary Clinic and Urgent Care

We had our first appointment here today, and our vet tech, Ash, made it such a positive experience! She's kind, patient, and compassionate, and really took the time to connect with my dog and I. She truly creates a safe space. Thank you so much, Ash!!!!

Dr Mutton is really amazing! She always remembers my dogs name even when visits are few and far between. She shows him lots of love and compassion like he is her own dog! She gave him quality care of his twice injured paw and also explained what I needed to do post surgery really clearly. Both doctors my dog has seen at this clinic are top notch. Absolutely amazing experience! As a vet tech myself, I can say that Dr. Richardson and the entire team was incredibly efficient, professional, and kind from start to finish. They took great care of my cats and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. On top of that, their prices were very reasonable compared to other clinics I've been to in Anchorage. Highly recommend this clinic!

I just had the best experience here. I was in the lobby waiting to be seen when my regular vet called and said they could get my dog in. They assessed my French Bulldog and made sure she was stable but respected I wanted to take her to my regular vet and they didn’t charge me anything. I offered to pay an exam fee and they declined. They also had me in/out very quick and were really helpful from the initial phone call. I will definitely be coming back here, if needed.

I had to put down my nearly 16-year-old shih tzu, and I was very impressed. Not only did they work me in despite not having availability on their schedule, they took me back as soon as I arrived. Both the tech and vet were incredibly kind and compassionate. I appreciated that they have a designated room used for euthanasia, which has a comfortable couch and private exit, and took payment before the procedure so I could leave without having to deal with that. They told me to take as long as I needed and to flip the switch whenever I was ready to signal them, and took the time to explain how things would work and answer any questions. They could not have been nicer or treated my baby with more care. It's one of the hardest things you'll ever do, but they made it as positive of an experience
