Alaska Coral & Fish

The first words out of my mouth upon leaving this place were “wow, what a great experience!”. The employees and owner were all so personable, kind and knowledgeable, the place was packed but they still made time for us. They had exactly what we were looking for (and more), and they have an awesome gently used equipment section. All the livestock looked healthy and well cared for. Everything was reasonably priced. Will absolutely be coming back, specifically for those otherworldly glass catfish!!! 🐟💕

These guys are awesome, drove in from big lake to have a fish tank drilled for an overflow. They had it done super fast so I didn’t have to drive back to anchorage for a second trip, and we left with some great corals frags

During a recent visit to Alaska Coral and Fish, I purchased a lionfish, two urchins, two anemones, and some corals. I live in Fairbanks and was concerned about transporting the lionfish and urchins such long distance in bags. The staff took great care packaging the lionfish in a large bag with plenty of water and oxygen then wrapped a thermal layer around it before placing it in an insulated box. The urchins and corals were packaged individually, placed in a large thermal box and cushioned to ensure they would stay secure and avoid puncturing the bags. They did a phenomenal job ensuring all of the animals were as comfortable as possible and arrived safely. After placing them in my tanks, the fish and urchins were very active and healthy. Fantastic store. Went in knowing absolutely nothing and felt confident I won't kill some new fish pets in a week. :) Honesty though, great store and I'll be a return customer
