For the most part I’ve had a good experience with this animal hospital. Dr. Howard is great but I have noticed that some front desk staff and techs are not as friendly. I had one tech stereotype my Bully because he was clearly not comfortable working with a large dog. My boy has been going to the hospital for two years incident free but he wanted to muzzle my dog and also put him on medication which he doesn’t need. I put a stop to that. My dog has sensitive front paws so shots have to be given in the back. Thankfully another tech, Adriana knows my dog and was like we do not have to do all that for him. Overall, it’s a good place for animals and very clean with ample parking. I trust the level of care here.

Aldrich treated my malshi for an upset stomach. He had blood work done and his triglycerides came back slightly elevated so they put him on a low fat diet available by prescription. I kept him on the diet for 10 days and wanted to have him seen for a follow up and to receive the balance of his vaccinations. I get there for the appointment and wasn’t allowed in the back informed the vet tech I wanted to speak to the doctor about his diet. She asked if he was eating I said yes she responded so what’s the problem and refused to let me see the vet . I finished up the food which is pricy and went in because he really isn’t eating this food and asked the front desk person if I could speak with the doctor about other options. Since he wasn’t really eating this food. They said that they would give

Took my dog here because they offered a same day appointment. He had an ear infection which they gave me medicine and a wash to treat. They took him into the back for a treatment there and then gave him back to me with a $280 bill. The ear infection cleared up, but he now has open sores on his body, which he has never had in his 9 years. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It could be coincidence but the timing just seems weird and I have no idea what they did when they took him into the back. Will be going to the veterinary on Little East Neck which is where I usually go, but didn’t this time and I’m kicking myself about it. Revising this review from 1 star to 3 stars - someone from the office reached out and was very caring. Explained what happens in the back, their concern for

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Went to Aldrich for my very sick 1.5 year old cat. Prices were high but we expected that from a vet. My cat got blood work and I was called with results stating my cat has feline leukemia and would most likely die as it is fatal and incurable. I was then told to separate him from my other cat asap and that odds are my other cat also caught the disease. There I am thinking I will have 2 cats die from this disease even though it is extremely rare for indoor cats who have never ever been around other cats (but of course the vet didn’t tell us that). I was given the option of another blood test to see how advanced the disease was and told to bring my other cat in to be tested and vaccinated. (More money for them). We opted out of seeing how advanced as it was

Capri loves the team at Aldrich . Dr Lasala spends time with us ensuring we understand what our new puppy requires. She takes her time and even sits on the floor and plays with our puppy. We honestly feel our pet is in the best hands possible. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
