I am writing this review to share my deeply concerning experience with this veterinary clinic following my male cat’s neutering procedure. I chose this facility based on positive feedback from coworkers and trusted that my pet would receive safe, attentive, and professional care. Unfortunately, the condition in which my cat was returned to me was alarming and unacceptable. When I picked him up, he was still clearly under very significant anesthesia. He was profoundly lethargic, unable to safely support himself, and in no condition to have been discharged. It was evident that he required continued monitoring rather than being sent home. Discharging an animal in that state is not only irresponsible but potentially dangerous. Even more troubling was his physical condition. He was completely s

If i could give zero stars I would. Do NOT take your pet here! My 1.5yr old female puppy was spayed here last week. Everything seemed ok at 1st. By day 5 post op she was vomiting bile, barely able to eat or drink, extremely lethargic, and dry heaving all day post op day 6. She was seen for a recheck the afternoon of day 6. The vet looked me in the eye and said she was fine, that some dogs just take longer to recover from anesthesia. Said her vitals were fine and heart/lungs sounded great. Gave a shot for vomiting and told to call back if she kept vomiting through the shot but to give her a few more days......if i listened to him my dog would be dead. She was ALREADY very very sick at that recheck exam, i relayed that expressly to their vet! The following morning post op day 7 I took her t

Our dog was neutered here last month, and the process was smooth. McKayla was an absolute doll, and took great care of our pup, Winston. She was thorough and walked me through the entire process. We came in again and McKayla remembered Winston. This time, we also had Santina (sp?) help out. Amazing people and pup skills! I highly recommend the Alaska SPCA for the great people and environment!! Thank you, McKayla, Santina, and team!

I want people to know to expect unexpected charges here. I agreed to a vaccine bundle, but I was not clearly told it would be $90, and when I asked for clarification or paperwork, it wasn’t shown to me. What really upset me was how the situation was handled when picking up my cat after her surgery. Instead of explaining the charges calmly, I was told things like “it’s $20 for every additional 5 minutes we have to keep her.” That felt extremely intimidating, especially right after my pet came out of surgery. They advertise having payment plans and options, but in the moment I felt pressured and cornered instead of supported. I recommend anyone using their services bring at least an extra $200 just in case, because the communication around pricing did not feel transparent. I’m posting thi

They took great care of our cat Sir Otin. Pricing is very budget friendly, as well as you can apply and use a Friend's of Pets discount coupon.
