Alamogordo Animal Control

Over the last 2 years I have made numerous calls and reports about my neighbor's barking dogs. My neighbor insists the dogs are not barking. I have plenty of recordings and animal control and the police have each come by while the dogs are barking. The police tell me to record, animal control tells me they do not accept recordings. I am a veteran with ptsd and I also work from home. The barking has been very difficult to live with causing me a lot of extra stress. A couple of days ago the dogs had gotten out of the yard and I called and animal control responded. The officer was polite but from what he told me he is being more understanding and helpful to the neighbor who refuses to accept that her dogs are causing issues. He told me that it is "really hard to get a citation for barking dog

I have done rescues with Alamogordo Animal Control with no regrets. After having to put my dog EVE to sleep due to hip displasia it was Alamogordo Animal Control who came to the rescue. I found my girl LILLY there. These guys have been good friends of mine for awhile now. Happy New Year Alamogordo, New Mexico.

Animals are well cared for and staff is super friendly! This pup always digs out if his yard, I just drop him off and his mom comes to get him. Bad little Biscuit 😉 !

Ive had plenty of times where aco is just completely lazy. They only will pick up a dog if its between the hours of noon and 5. Hmm yeah its almost like dogs cant tell time and are going to be out when aco is closed. Thats fine. Any dog that i find after hours ill go and knock on their doors, they live in the area. Animals wont always be out during the time that they are open. That being said they need to have at least 1 person off duty to pick up lose animals after hours that get called in. This is ridiculous. Called back after an hour like they said and no one knew anything. They said they would have their on duty person call me and that never happened.

I went to AAC to pic up three fearful dogs to go to the dog rescue that I volunteer for. The staff are really nice to work with, and they do all they can to get the dogs and cats adopted out.
