I absolutely love this shelter. The staff are amazing, friendly, loving, and caring people. We Just adopted an adorable pitbull from them and we are absolutely loving him. I highly recommend this place.

Adopted this little girl this weekend and couldn't be more happy to add her to my little family. I'm so excited to work with her and help her grow and learn to trust and know real family and love. The ladies that work here are absolutely incredible!!!! They truly care about every single animal here and worked so hard to make sure I could take her home with me!! I'm in love! I'm so grateful for everyone's help!!!

Dissapointing our taxes pay for their salaries. First time I depended on animal control was to report abuse and neglect. Animal control actually sided with abuser and allow them to continue. I had to get a non profit to intevene and save the pupppy. The next time was to protect elderly family members from being attacked by out of control dog. This time AC sided with owners of untrained aggressive dog and made the situation more dangerous. It's better to go through elected officials or a lawyer. Don't trust AC at all. Most of them are lazy, and don't even write up a report or follow through. Or they shame you when you make a report anonymously. But then they disclose to all who did make the report. Don't trust them at all. A bunch of amatuers giving out dangerous misinformation.

One YOUNG woman was at least kind and trying to be helpful. They requested me to return with my current dog to see how they would intermix. My dog had been playing at the Oak Park Dog Park since age 3 months. She could and would coax all sorts of sizes, breeds, ages, sex, didn’t matter . . . She just wanted to play! But when I brought her to the shelter, another very angry, nasty young lady came on board and they would not allow ANY OF THE DOGS TO PLAY WITH HER. Clearly, they did not want to lose funding and would not allow any of the dogs access to an excellent home full of love and affection and the best nutrition. I had it all ready to give. I ended up adopting through a private agency and it cost about $4K. I knew these animals NEEDED homes. I could see it in their eyes and through t

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the incredible staff at Agoura Animal Care. When I was about to deliver my dog’s body, a kind lady (I’m not sure if she was part of the staff or not) gently pulled my friend back and said, ‘She needs a real hug.’ She hugged me tight, and in that moment, her warmth and compassion meant the world to me. It truly helped ease my grief. I hope she sees this review, and I want to thank her and the team for making such a difficult time a little easier with your care and support.
