A Yuppy Puppy

I took my two dachshunds here for grooming and had a very upsetting experience. When I got home, I noticed one of my dogs had a cut on her stomach that appears to have happened during the haircut. What upset me the most is that no one informed me that anything had happened when I picked them up. Accidents can happen, but if a dog is injured while in someone’s care, the owner should be notified immediately. Transparency is really important when trusting someone with your pets. Never again.

First time bringing my dog here. Not to happy they had my dog about 20 minutes gave her a bath, cut her nails, expressed her anal glands n cleaned her ears all in those 20 minutes. I am 100% in love with how they cut my dogs fur. I asked for just a standard Schnauzer cut for my puppy. He is a very rambunctious puppy. He doesn't even let me brush him most of the time. I expected that he may be very difficult to groom, perhaps even come home with razor burn or an uneven haircut to no fault of the shop. When I got home and saw him, he looked perfect down to even the little details like his eyebrows! I was shocked! My boyfriend, who picked him up from his appointment, said that our puppy left the shop happy and as hyper as usual. When he got there to pick him up, he was even on the ground, not locked up in a kennel all day which is what I would have expected. I am very happy with the service I received today from A yuppy puppy groomers. I was in desperate need to get my pups ears cleaned, nails trimmed and a bath, I'm terrible with sticking with appointments so when I called to see if they accept walk ins, they helped me right away. My puppy was very sad and scared when i gave him to the groomer and walked away, but when I came back he was very happy and no longer looked scared. I also loved that they didn't stick him in a cage while they were waiting for me to arrive. I strongly believe they made him feel loved and safe because of how fast he adjusted. We have our poodle mix see Alyssa every 4-8 weeks and she is an absolute dream to work with. Our dog has fear reactivity but sometimes, on very rare occasions, he takes to someone immediately. It's not surprising that our dog took to Alyssa so quickly though! She has a huge heart, is great at what she does, and is so patient and gentle and loving. She radiates care and kindness! Our boy also has double hip dysplasia and because of this, Alyssa provides him with the utmost care to ensure that he doesn't experience any pain during grooming.
