Enrolled my 3 year old Schnauzer in the 2 week boarding and training course. Toby trained with Katie most of the time and what a difference she made. He no longer pulls us on leash when we walk him and his barking has lessoned as well. Upon coming home after the training, Toby has become much more lovable and does not jump up on new people We could tell Katie loves her job just by the way she interacted with him. She also had no problem pointing out that Owners must be trained as well and must commit to following through with what she teaches.

This review is for the one on one training sessions only as this is the only service I have used so far. My 1 year old pug pulled like a champion dog sled when we started training. We worked with Katie one on one to learn how to heel as well as go to place. From day one Katie was knowledgeable and helpful, my dog responded to her very well. It was nice to train without treats and use positive reinforcement as his reward. I am looking forward to the group lessons and will update my review once we have been able to attend some of these.

We had an absolutely phenomenal experience with Katie and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Our 1 year old chocolate lab, Moe, completed the two-week board and train program, and the transformation we saw in such a short amount of time was nothing short of incredible. From the very beginning, Katie was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in Moe’s success. It was immediately clear that she truly understands dogs and cares deeply about both the dogs she trains and the families they go home to. Throughout Moe’s time with Katie, his progress was remarkable. His obedience, focus, impulse control, and overall confidence improved dramatically. He came home calmer, more responsive, and much happier to work with us. Commands that used to be inconsistent or ignored are n

I highly recommend Sit Means Sit Dog Training! Working with Dave has been a wonderful experience. He is an amazing trainer and his wealth of knowledge and understanding of dog behavior is incredible. He is very patient and does a great job explaining his training methods every step of the way. After only a handful of lessons, I have noticed significant improvement in my dog’s obedience and I feel much more confident handling my 120lb dog. No longer am I getting dragged around on walks or having him jump on people when they come over. If I could describe the training in one word, it would be INVALUABLE! Working with Dave has been a HUGE game changer for both me and my dog, and I only wish I had signed us up sooner!

Our rott/collie mix, Oliver, was adopted from the shelter at 1 year. He had been in the shelter for half his life was very reactive. Oliver did a total of 3 weeks board and train at Sit means Sit ( Modesto) with Caity. We loved Caity! She is enthusiastic and energetic. The perfect personality for the job. Oliver loved Caity, which made us feel at ease. Every weekend that he came home, there was a notable improvement in Oliver's behavior. At the end of each week, Caity gave us a personal lesson to catch us up on what Oliver had learned and gave us "homework " to practice with him over the weekend. She sent us updates and pictures while she had Oliver which was awesome because we missed our boy. Can't recommend Caity enough!
