A Pet Clinic of Kent

I've been coming to Dr. Nagra for years now. He has provided excellent care for my current 4-year-old boxer mix as well as my beloved childhood dog, who was with me for 15 years before passing away in 2022. When I first brought my childhood dog to Dr. Nagra, she had mammary cancer and needed a mastectomy. The surgery was successful and gave me a couple more precious years with her, which I will always be grateful for. More recently, my boxer mix needed a specialized neutering procedure because his testes had never descended. The surgery went smoothly, and Dr. Nagra took the time to address all of my concerns throughout the process. He always makes me feel like my questions and worries are genuinely heard. Dr. Nagra was efficient, knowledgeable, and reassuring. I called first thing in the morning after a long night at an ER visit for my cat Diego for a urethra blockage and he told me to bring him in for the follow up. He was upfront and transparent about costs and clearly laid out all of my options, I really appreciate that kind of honesty over uncertainty. It was clear he has extensive experience, and thanks to him, Diego’s life was saved. I’m so glad I brought him here.

I genuinely wish I could leave this place no stars. I came here about a year ago to get my cat fixed, I had a appointment that morning and was made to wait 30 minutes in the waiting for some joke of a vet or nurse, when they finally came they barley spoke to me and just took my cat from me. I tried explaining to them that my cat was terrified and might bite or scratch him and he just ignored me and took my cat to the back. I was told they would call me in a few hours to pick up my cat and I had to call 3 times before i was able to speak to anyone about when I could pick up my cat. When I was finally told I could come get her, the receptionist AND the joke of a vet seemed inconvenienced to speak with me and give me back my cat and yet again just rushed me out there. I’ve been a client here for several years, and overall this clinic has provided solid care at very reasonable prices. For a young, generally healthy dog, this was a good and practical option, and I always felt the staff was professional and efficient. As my dog got older and her needs became more complex, I found myself wanting a bit more hands-on guidance, warmth, and emotional support during a very difficult stage. My dog recently passed away, and while the clinic was kind and updated her records promptly, the experience felt more clinical than personal. That said, I don’t think this is a reflection of poor care — just a different style. For routine care and budget-friendly services, this clinic serves an important role. We love Dr. Nagra and his staff at A Pet Clinic. He cared for our 16 year old Kikmik right up to the end. He has taken excellent care of my 7 and a half year old Shandy, who has undergone hip surgery and suffers from allergies. We also go to him for check ups and shots - he is the best doctor in town!
