A Cat's Life Rescue

I’ve fostered with ACLR and helped in other ways. This organization is an incredible group of people who are doing everything possible and within their capabilities to directly save and help cats, educate the public, share resources, and work so hard to find furever homes for so many!

Such a wonderful local rescue! They focus on outdoor kitties and offer trap-neuter-release support, as well as adopting out rescue cats and kittens. They also focus on sick and injured kitties that may be put down at other shelters. I got involved fostering with them and it's been awesome! Since it's a small rescue, there's a lot of communication and it's a tight knit community 🧡

Love this rescue!!! They helped me in a tough situation when my neighborhood was overrun with cats and kittens. With their help, we TNR’d over 17 cats and rehomed 25! The people are amazing. Great group that does amazing work ♥️

I applied for Horchata because his posted description (calm, mellow, independent) matched my quiet household. A meet-and-greet scheduled for Thursday at 11 a.m. was cancelled the morning of due to an emergency; we then did a Zoom on Tuesday. During the call, the foster specifically noted my home was very quiet. Afterward, I was told a home with children and a dog “isn’t the best fit,” even though they’ve never seen Horchata in that setting and my dog is calm with planned, gated introductions. The reason then shifted to “he must have another cat.” I lined up an adoption for a companion cat and provided proof, but the rescue still declined, explaining that the foster has the final say. The best organization ever! These women are superheroes!!!! They are kind, empathetic and truly amazing. They save these babies and give them a chance at a better life! I had the amazing opportunity to foster for this organization and it was a privilege. They have great communication and a large network of people who will help you. Don’t hesitate to support this organization or apply to foster or most importantly adopt one of their sweet babies!!
