Zoo Creatures Pet Store

Ive been going to zoo creatures since it was in the plaza where home depot is now. Ive made a few friends there over the years. Great people. Kevin the owner is a genius with reptile breeding and genetics. No better place to buy fish for your aquarium. Or any other pet.

Cages/enclosures/tanks unkept. Bubba the snapping turtle is in a tank so small he can barely turn around in it! And his tank is on the floor with the top open! It’s a horrible existence for him. Only some staff are nice, most are rude.

I’d really hesitated to write this review but it’s important future customers are informed. Last week I visited this pet store and it’s true, they have a variety of unique animals and the staff seem friendly. I decided to purchase a few fish and a few plants and the gentleman that helped me asked me for my budget. I let him know that I would like to spend no more than $50. I was put in a very uncomfortable situation when checking out and my purchase came to $120. I should have left then with no purchase as this was wrong to do to a customer. I gave the employee the benefit of the doubt and hoped what I would be bringing home would bring some joy to my freshwater tank. 1 week later 3 of the fish recently purchased have died. I have had this tank for almost two years with healthy fish. I und

So many cool creatures. The staff is amazing, kind and super knowledgeable. Go you won't be disappointed.

What would otherwise be a 5* review is knocked down due to having bought 5 frozen mice that were all unusable. After thawing, each one either had a horrible smell, or an icky body (my teen would not tell me the details). Now on to what we LIKE about the store. We went in shortly after moving to this area because we needed to overhaul the terrarium with a new heating pad, different substrate, new leafy decor, and lighter hides/water bowl. About 3 different staff members got involved with helping us, and we were by no means the only customers in the store. They gave us a lot of detail and advice on every single type of item we inquired about. The terrarium looked SO much better than before, and the snake was obviously very happy with it.
