Ziggys Haven Parrot Sanctuary

What a great place. Ziggy’s Haven Parrot Sanctuary is one of those visits that stays with you. The staff and volunteers are amazing. They spent real time educating us about the different types of parrots, the history of the sanctuary, and the unique stories of some of their residents. One stunning macaw is in his 90s, which feels both unbelievable and deeply moving. Imagine the life that bird has seen. Inside you meet a few of the ambassadors up close. Outside, there are many more enclosures filled with beautiful, funny, loud, charming birds. Each one has a distinct personality. Some flirt. Some scold. Some perform. It is impossible not to smile. It is educational, heartfelt, and simply joyful. Absolutely worth the visit, whether you are five or ninety-five. 🦜✨

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Ziggy’s Bird Sanctuary in Inverness, Florida! From the moment we arrived, you could tell how much love and care goes into everything they do for these beautiful birds. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and truly passionate about the health and happiness of every single animal in their care. The sanctuary is clean, welcoming, and you can see firsthand how well the birds are treated — they’re not just animals here, they’re family. It’s amazing to see a place so dedicated to rescue, rehabilitation, and giving these birds the best life possible. If you're in the Inverness area and love animals (or even if you just want to learn more about them), this is 100% a place worth visiting and supporting. We’ll definitely be back! Hi

Ziggy’s Haven Bird Sanctuary is truly a blessing. You can feel the love, care, and dedication the moment you step in. Every bird is treated with so much compassion and respect, and it is clear this place exists purely out of a passion for helping animals mainly birds who need a second chance. The people behind Ziggy’s Haven are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely committed to the well being of each bird. This sanctuary is doing incredible work and making a real difference. I am so thankful places like this exist and I cannot recommend Ziggy’s Haven enough to anyone who loves animals and wants to support an amazing mission.

Attended fund raiser. Great event! Recommend as site to see a wide variety of birds. More than at most zoos.
