York Kennels

I drove down from NH in search of a mini schnauzer. Launie sounded nice enough on the phone, however, when I arrived at the kennels, the stench of urine and feces was so strong I could hardly handle it. The adult parent dogs were incessantly barking and gnashing their teeth at one another. The dogs were so dirty. She shared that they never get let out of their outdoor kennels. They are not handled or socialized. I signed a contract for a heathy puppy, however, once I had gotten home and brought it to the vet it had coccocidia and whip worm. When I called to tell her that it tested positive for parasite warms, she had at first offered to cover some of the treatment, but when I told her that whip worm takes 3 months to deworm and it would need 3 trips to the vet, she told me,”Bullshit” an

It's been 4.5 years and it's time to say something. Stanlee will be 5 on 5/28/26 and is an amazing dog. He is our 4th Schnauzer since 1995 so we have a lot of experience with the breed. He's smart, was easy to train, was house broken and crate trained in like a week,very loving and loves to cuddle, but to strangers he is fiercely protective initially but then warms up and is very friendly. Our last Schnauzer was 19 lbs but Stanlee is a lean 24lbs. He grew up with 3 older dogs, 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks and a Westie. You'd think that he would be intimidated as a puppy by our huge 110 lb Ridgeback but he was NOT !! When people comment on him I don't hesitate to tell them about York Kennels.

Last week I took my mom to this very nice place to pickup a puppy. They both were super nice and friendly to both my mom and myself. All the puppies are super cute and the mother and father were on site so we could see what Penny would look like when she gets older. Thank you both for your patience and time explaining everything. Penny is perfect

My family have had four schnauzers all males from York..all great dogs and all lived long healthy lives. Now that I have my own two children (6&9) we are looking into finding our first family schnauzer(s) . Always would recommend York! Worth the trip to the farm to meet the pups in person.

Absolutely beautiful farm to purchase a puppy. Dogs are very well cared for and handled with love and care, not a fancy kennel but these are pets for those that bring them home. Dogs are mostly house trained by how they are housed. Anyone who has owned a schnauzer knows their energetic personality. Purchased a beautiful boy, very healthy, alert, playful and smart. Launie was great to work with. I would purchase from her again. Great environment for these dogs
