I don’t like writing reviews like this, but people deserve to know what they’re walking into. Our dogs’ annual checkup went fine. However, when our Labrador went in for an ultrasound, we were told they couldn’t find anything wrong. Four days later, he passed away unexpectedly. What made this experience truly unacceptable was what followed. When I called the morning our dog died, the receptionist was completely unsympathetic. There were no condolences, no acknowledgment of our loss—just a cold, business-like explanation of what we could do with his body. Losing a dog is devastating, and being met with indifference instead of compassion made an already horrible situation worse. My partner and I are new to the area, we moved here with our 4 cats and 1 dog. Our spicy orange cat was having some scooting issues and needed his annual wellness exam and vaccines. We first booked an appointment at Animal Medical Center and they were unable to do anything because the vet tech said he was lunging at her. Upon their suggestion we booked an appointment for the next day and gave our cat (3)100 mg doses of gabapentin in order to ensure that he could get the necessary bloodwork and care he needed. After 5 minutes of our arrival, yet again they were unable to do anything for him. I left very frustrated and with my cat who was so high and scared and still needed care. New to the area and was able to get a same day appointment for my senior dog. Staff is friendly the doctor I saw was clear about her thoughts regarding my dog and was helpful in providing options. Being new, the office had all of my dog’s records prior to my appointment based on them doing the work to get them - that was amazing and so appreciated especially given this was a same day appointment.

I simply cannot say enough great things about this vet team! We have 4 dogs and they all see either Dr. Lobb or Dr Jones whose knowledge and compassion for animals is so apparent in everything they do. We recently lost our 14/15 year old beagle to a large mass on her lung and were graciously given the option for home euthanasia which made a huge difference in her passing. Our sweet girl was able to pass comfortably surrounded by her comfortable smells, in her favorite bed, with her dog siblings and humans surrounded by love. We also have a dog who slipped a disc in her back and with Dr Jones and Dr Lobb teaming up to determine a treatment plan (medication and acupuncture) were able to get her back to running around on the farm again without surgery. Our 10 year old buddy was starting to limp and it was causing concerns and we made one phone call, they got us in super quick, very friendly staff and treated our dog like it was their own and within 10 minutes they had the answer to our concern. Reassurance and confidence in their answer is always rewarding especially when we ourselves are gaining knowledge for preventative measures in the future. I definitely recommended taking your animals here!
