Hello y’all! I would 100% recommend Tala or “Helping Howls!” We’ve had some bad experiences with trainers previously and were apprehensive about finding another. That quickly changed after talking with/meeting Tala! Tala was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming. She let me know what was best for my pup, Ezra and the right way to go about his training in the future! Tala takes the time to really understand each dog’s unique personality and needs, which makes all the difference! We started with a board and train where Ezra learned lots of skills, he looked SO happy while working with Tala and did so well with her! She cared for him as if he were her own, and even helped me with some other struggles with him. She provided updates and story posts as well of all the skills/exercises

Our puppy gained many positive skills during her stay with Tala. I would highly recommend the program for anyone struggling with a new puppy or even older dog needing reinforcements. We will definitely send her back for refresher courses as needed in the future.

When you need a trainer for your dog’s needs, don’t make a mistake and go with someone who isn’t knowledgeable. Make the right choice, go with the best, and work with Helping Howls. You won’t regret it and you’ll learn so much along the way. You and your dog will be so happy. But here’s my story: In the fall of 2024 I was looking for someone to help train my dog to be a service dog. After a few phone calls to other places, I began to get distressed as the other folks were charging outrageous amounts to help train my dog and they were training in ways that I did not want my dog to be trained by. I truly felt like all hope was lost, until I found Helping Howls by doing a Google Search. Just like you, I read all the reviews of the business first. After reading them, I knew I needed to waste

My poodle, Bambi, did a 2 week board and train with Tala and it was amazing! I was really impressed to see how much Bambi's skills improved in such a short period of time. Tala genuinely has a special talent with dogs. I've also had a couple virtual sessions with her and she is so knowledgeable and helpful. Poodles can be a lot for some trainers, but Tala understands them very well.

We first contacted Tala in November 2022 needing basic and impulse training for our 10 month old German Shepard, Nala. A majority of Nala’s ancestors are working line dogs (Therapeutic Service, Richmond Police, etc.), so we knew she had amazing potential when we purchased her, we just did not know how to properly train her outside of the basics. Just a bit about us, my husband and I have 3 children, ages 7, 8, and 9. We also have a 7 month old Pomeranian, and 2 indoor/outdoor cats. We chose Nala primarily for peace of mind as a security dog for our home and children. When we contacted Tala, Nala had horrible separation anxiety when we were not home and world tear up furniture, clothes, etc., would very frequently jump on us to get eye level, would not cooperate with a feeding schedule, w
