Wood County Humane Society

I had a feral mother cat show up several months back with kittens. When the kittens were old enough, I was able to get on WCHS's intake list. They were able to take the kittens this week, letting me bring them in on two separate days after work and even loaned me a cat carrier. Over the years, I've had several friendly stray cats and kittens that magically show up at my place and WCHS worked with me to bring them in so that they could find good homes for them. I am very thankful for their help and will always support them!

I had to take my deceased neighbors cat to the Wood County Humane Society because she didn't get along with my cats. Staff was very understanding and kind.

All the individuals working at the Humane Society are very very special! We are so grateful to have found our very charming, curious feline friend! Thank you!

Fantastic shelter. Staff was amazing. They seem to truly care for these animals. Shoutout to Meg for all her help, she is fantastic!

I drove a friend to WCHS for her to adopt a cat in September 2019. We both ended up coming home with one! It was obvious that everyone I dealt with in person and over the phone here is truly dedicated to the animals. Star (formerly Taylor) is an absolute sweetheart, and treats the new kitten like her own. My friend now has 3 former WCHS kitties.
