I have been a long-time client of Wolf Creek Equine and have always enjoyed working with them. Recently, my horse just wasn’t himself, low energy, losing weight, and just not jumping the way he had just months earlier. I reach out to Dr. Mende for support and a plan of action. We went through his current feed and supplements and first changed him to a higher fat feed along with starting him on Oceanfeed Equine supplement. I saw results in his energy level within a few weeks along with a healthier coat and improved top line. Next step was to do a full lameness example to see if he was having any soreness or pain that could be causing the change in his jumping. I have been in the equine business for over 40 years. I have seen and worked. Many injured horses. My horse was kicked in the hock the vet from wolf creek came out and they put Staples in and fell out. They charged a extremely amount of money. And then did no follow-up care whatsoever. They want us to do surgery now. And it's been 7 weeks. They want us to do surgery now. And I and I am not going to do surgery with inadequate veterinary care. I as a horsemen would not let them give a shot let alone ask or use them. Beware of this place.

The entire veterinary team and office staff are knowledgabe and compassionate to the animals in their care. I wouldn't go anywhere else for equine vet care in the area. Facility is top notch with a great surgeon!! It's amazing to have such a wonderful and world class vet team in Anne Arundel County.

I wish I could give this practice more than 5 stars. The level of care & professionalism they have unbeatable. I highly recommend Dr. CJ for any of your horses’ needs. I’ve used him for both complex surgeries and common horse issues. He is the type of vet that stays up on the current science & practices so you always know you are receiving the best advice. I’ve also used Dr. Williamson & Dr. Mende - both of whom are excellent. You really cannot go wrong with any vet at this practice. Also, the vet techs are not only personable (shout out to Manuela & Kari) - but they are helpful & insightful! Even when my horse was struggling to load on the trailer after surgery, they helped me make sure he got on safely. No details are missed here!
