Wiregrass Humane Society

I had such a wonderful experience with the Wiregrass Humane Society! The staff members who assisted me, Brittany and Haley, are so compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to giving every fur baby the best chance at a happy life. The facility is clean and well-organized, and you can tell the animals are genuinely cared for. I visited hoping to find the perfect little one to join my family, and the team took the time to learn about my lifestyle and introduce me to the animals that would be a good match. I adopted my cat Mitzi from here in the beginning of October. From the beginning, the staff was so kind and knowledgeable about the animals in their care. I initially went in to see another cat, but she stole mine and my partners heart. The adoption process was quick and easy, and they were very clear on how it worked. One month on, and Mitzi is a wonderful addition to my family. They checked in with us after the adoption. I appreciate the staff so much, and I would highly recommend adopting from here.

I got my baby 2 weeks ago and everyone at the Humane Society is so nice and sweet. She has adjusted well and she thinks she's an acrobat. She lets me rub her belly and, is doing really well.

Worthless. Found 2 puppies on the road tried to take them to give them a shot at life. "Our manager is the only one that can do intakes and we don't know when she will be in". Is what I was told. They wanted me to have a parvo test on them. The staff acted like these dogs had the dang plague. That whole place just sounds like another dothan area money scam. Come buy our donations at the drop off center to support rescues but we won't take anything you bring in. Will never be back will never visit the store I recommend all do the same. I just wish I could give them 0 stars. The worst part is they basically condemned these dogs.
