Customer Reviews
I had my first visit to White Oak VUC because my cat hurt her leg while jumping down from our kitchen island. It was a Saturday and our regular vet could not see her. We were able to get into White Oak on Sunday morning. The Doctors and staff are compassionate and caring, and quickly took my baby in for xrays. Luckily nothing was broken. We had a great experience and believe me the bill was a 1/3 of what a normal emergency vet cost. We were very happy with their service.
Dr. Nancy McGuire treated my cat following his discharge a week prior from a different emergency facility. She did a comprehensive review of his previous treatment records; conducted a thorough physical examination; performed sophisticated imaging onsite; and addressed all of my concerns regarding my cat's prognosis and care. She also provided me with a detailed report of her findings. He's thriving now for which I am deeply grateful. We ❤️ Dr. McGuire. In addition to Dr. McGuire, I was impressed with the professionalism of the entire staff, especially Blair, the vet tech, who was gentle and caring with my cat, and even gave him a Churru treat for his cooperative behavior. The morning following his treatment, the staff called me to check on his progress -- this proactive step showed me h
Nancy McGuire was the vet on staff when we took our 3 month old puppy in because he was throwing up. The vet came into the room, said he was underweight but had not put him on a scale then said we have 2 choices. They make him feel better there or we can go to Annapolis hospital hours away. After she did a parvo test, she told us it was positive and we must go to the hospital immediately and the stay will be about a week for $6,000 to $8,000 or he will die. We elected to take him home and went to petsmart not even 12 hours later and they said he doesn’t have parvo. These folks should be sued for emotional distress and trying to swindle folk out of money. We felt she was lying to us and now I am satisfied we were correct. Do not take your dog here.
We have now had two of our dogs put down here. One yesterday and one in October. They made us feel heard and welcomed. Their dim room really helped our two settle. The calmness of the room really helped the process. We never felt rushed, we were given the time to say goodbye. The time to process our loss. They were here when we needed help lifting our 64 pound girl to the car yesterday. While we love to get our animals put down in our homes where they are comfortable, sometimes that's just not possible. They go down hill to quickly to make an appointment with our normal vet to come out and put them down. I 100% recommend them when you need to make that hard decision. We will definitely use them again when it's needed. Thank you to the White Oak family for making our pets comfortable in the
Let me start by saying that maybe it’s a personal preference but I did not like that the vet did not come into the room to examine my dog after the tech did our intake. Keep in mind that this was my first time here and the man couldn’t come introduce himself before taking action with my dog. They took her out of the room to be examined which I’ve never experienced with the exception of COVID, when people weren’t even allowed inside of the buildings, understandably. What bothers me more is that there was mention of possibly needing an X-ray (by the tech) and I was ok with that. The vet decided not to do it so I assumed it wasn’t necessary. However, the follow up with my vet lead to an immediate X-ray exposing bone deterioration and the need for a toe amputation. I don’t feel like white oa
