When Farm Vet Services

I don't bother doing reviews, even when I have negative experiences at businesses. That changes after this place. A different vet diagnosed our dog with a tumor in her bladder, with ultrasound showing that this was the case. We went to Wind to have her put down, obviously a difficult and traumatic decision for anyone. My mom was unfortunately the one that had to take her, who also happened to be the one most torn up about the decision. The vets first response to the reasoning for putting her down was not to console, but rather doubt that there was anything wrong with her. If you are walking into a clinic ready to end your best friends life, do you really think no additional thought was given to that choice? I would not recommend anyone go to this clinic and instead spend some more money to

I absolutely NEVER write negative business reviews, but this place has definitely earned zero stars from our family. First visit I thought yes he’s a straight shooter and the prices are the lowest you can probably find. Our second visit however was awful. He is condescending and rude, not in a “straight shooter” way, but in a demeaning and unprofessional manner. We had to leave our dog for the day to be neutered and I had my husband come with me to pick up and he acted completely different. After my own experience and reading other reviews, I genuinely believe he only behaves in this way towards women. Go here at your own discretion but I would advise shopping around for a more professional veterinarian that has more care for animals and for humans/women.

We started going to this vet when our dogs annual shots and check up were reaching $400 and he has nothing wrong with him. He is perfectly healthy. So when we got our new puppy I tried this vet on a friends recommendation. She has brought all her pets here for years.I never leave reviews but I would like to address the several comments I have seen on here. If you do not like blunt to the point people this is not the place for you. That being said this is exactly what we want. If you need someone to worry about how you will feel to what they say then this is not the place for you. He is intelligent and straightforward and will say what’s in your pets best interest. I drive from Des Moines to see this vet. He is absolutely amazing. Straight shooter, very knowledgeable. I know his prices are fair. He charged me $100 less to tell me what another vet told me about my cat. Ultimately he helped cure my cat unknowingly by changing his diet ( because he was fat) and now my cat has a healthy tail that he gets to keep. The best in the business.

He mumbles and then gets angry when you can't understand him. He was explaining something to me and I walked towards the door because I thought he motioned to it. I guess he didn't because then he started whining that I was leaving in the middle of the condescending lesson he was giving me. I stopped and said sorry and that i missheard him but he refused to continue. I drove quite a distance to get here and have him clean my dog's teeth but he wouldn't because they weren't bad enough? I could keep going, but I'm exhausted. His life must be pretty miserable for him to think he needs to treat people this way. I felt so bad for the receptionist.
